Come and join us as we celebrate St Mark's 150th Anniversary* with 'Praise and Petals', our Anniversary Weekend in the church! Our plans at the moment are:
Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July
Flower installations throughout the church. The life of St Mark the Evangelist will be represented by a visual symbolic journey through faith, mission, and resurrection. Each arrangement will tell part of the Gospel story as recorded by St Mark — so people visiting will walk through Scripture visually using many media, not just flowers.

The Ministry Area will come together to celebrate Trinity Sunday at All Saints' Church, Brynglas, at 11.00 am on Sunday 31 May. This means that there will be no service at St Mark's that Sunday. Trinity will also be the beginning of five Sundays of focus on the needs of the Ministry Area and the city of Newport, including Sundays at Six - evening services taking a new approach to finding God's will for the area. More details to follow.
The first four Sundays after Trinity will focus on four key areas of prayer and action. After hearing the readings in the morning services in each church, there will be an evening meeting to go deeper into what is being said to us. These Sundays at Six will be:
7 June, All Saints: Discipleship
14 June:, St Mary's Homelessness and Deprivation
21 June, St Stephen's: Children, Youth and Families
28 June, St Mark's: The city
Come and join us!
Join the Archbishop and two of Casnewydd Islwyn's Members of the Senedd to discuss the role of faith in modern politics. Thursday 15 June at 7.30 pm in St Mark's.
